24/7 Towing in South Loop, Chicago
The South Loop is where three expressways, the museum campus and a dense band of newer residential towers all meet, and the tow work reflects that. On an ordinary weekday it is garages and batteries. On a Bears Sunday or a festival weekend it is event lots, blocked exits and cars that will not start in a queue of thirty thousand.

We run the neighbourhood 24 hours and treat event days as their own operation — arriving before the exit rush rather than trying to swim upstream against it is the single biggest factor in how long your job takes.

Expressways, event lots and the campus
I-55 ends here at Lake Shore Drive, I-90/94 runs along the western edge, and the Roosevelt and 18th Street ramps tie them together. That gives excellent access in normal conditions and terrible access during an event exit. The Stevenson's final mile has short shoulders and heavy merging traffic, so a breakdown there is a priority dispatch.
Soldier Field, the Field Museum, Shedd and Adler share the museum campus lots, which empty through a small number of exits. A dead car in the middle of an emptying lot is a genuinely difficult job — not technically, but logistically. If you know before the fourth quarter that your car will not start, call then. It routinely halves the total time.
The residential side, along Roosevelt, Wabash and Michigan, is mostly newer buildings with ramped garages. Clearances there are better than in the Loop but still under standard carrier height in many cases, so a wheel-lift is common. Printers Row and the older loft conversions west of State are the exception — tight, older decks that need the small truck every time.

Towing questions from South Loop drivers
My car won't start in the Soldier Field lot after a game. How long will you be?
Honestly, it depends entirely on when you call. Before the exit rush, 25–40 minutes. Once the lots are emptying, the trucks are stuck in the same traffic you are — often over an hour. If you discover the problem early, call early.
Do you cover the Stevenson where it meets Lake Shore Drive?
Yes, 24 hours, and those are priority calls. The shoulders are short there. Stay belted inside the vehicle with hazards on and give dispatch your direction of travel.
Is the South Loop within your base mileage?
For most South Loop addresses, a tow to a Loop or Near West Side shop falls inside the first five miles, so it is the $89 hook-up with nothing added. Longer runs are $4.50 a mile beyond that, quoted before dispatch.
